Spring 2024 Public Hearings
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the City of Wilmington hosted an in-person public hearing on April 15, 2024, and two virtual public hearing sessions on April 17, 2024, to gather feedback on the Wilmington Riverfront Transportation Infrastructure Project (formerly South Market Street Redevelopment Project) Draft Environmental Assessment (EA).

In response to requests made by the public, the Draft EA comment period was extended from May 1, 2024, to May 15, 2024, and a community outreach meeting was held at the Neighborhood House community center in the Southbridge neighborhood on May 9, 2024. Copies of all comments received on the Draft EA are included as part of the record for the Project. All comments received during the official comment period from April 1, 2024 through May 15, 2024 were reviewed by FHWA and the City of Wilmington. All comments received and associated responses can be viewed in Appendix K.
